Boston Helicopter Ground School

Ground training and flight training are combined so you will be in the cockpit on day one. Your ground training will include topics such as airport and heliport operations, radio procedures, weather and navigation, while your hands-on training will focus on your first major goal of flying the helicopter solo.

Our entire private pilot helicopter ground school and instrument ground school are based on our custom created Powerpoint presentation slides, such as the one below.

Our ground instructors are also experienced flight instructors who can tie many classroom discussions directly to the flight training environment.

With our maintenance facility and hangar just steps from our classroom, our presentation materials are supplemented with hands on learning. Our mechanics are also available for questions during the classroom presentations, and students are encouraged to observe the maintenance facility at any time.
